On this site, you will be asked to provide an email ID to sign in. You must provide the email address on which you received the email about this event, from us . You will then receive another mail with a verification link. Clicking on “Sign in to Gather”, you will be able to enter the virtual campus.
Once inside, you will find yourself represented as a small cartoon character. After a small tutorial, you will also be able to see others moving around.
The virtual campus map may take some time to load depending on your bandwidth - please be patient and it should show up in a few minutes.
When you come within close proximity to other characters, or specially marked zones, an interaction starts. It could be a video conference with the other person, a movie, a game, or other activities.
Roam around and enjoy the little surprises we have planned for you on the map. Call and pre-arrange to meet your friends and faculty. You can also bring your parents along to meet others, just as you would have done in a real convocation.

[UPDATE 4] July 15, 2021 :
Photograph upload for the avatar animation is now closed. If you have missed it, then it just means that you will not get the animation delivered to you on August 7.
Students can still participate in the virtual event irrespective of the avatar animation. Watch this page for various activites around the convocation day.
Those students who haven't been able to upload the photographs on time will be able to do so after the convocation.
[UPDATE 3] July 8, 2021 :
Any submissions that arrive after July 8 may not be processed before the convocation.
[UPDATE 2] July 7, 2021 :
The form for data collection is closed. This form is not your graduation form for which you have to contact the academic office to fill. This form is only for creating avatars for the convocation experience.
To recieve the degree at your home address you must fill the convocation form available with the academic office.
[UPDATE 1] June 30, 2021 :
The deadline to fill the data collection form has been extended to July 5, 2021.

The IIT Bombay Convocation event will be held soon.
The e-Convocation team will be creating virtual avatar animations of the students who are receiving their degrees. To create the avatars and animations, the e-Convocation team will need photographs and some additional information.
Please fill the form using the link shared on mail and upload the relevant photographs before June 30, 2021.
