About the speaker: Ms. Manjeet Hirani is a pilot by profession for the last 27 years. She is a senior commander and trainer with Air India. She has 15000 hours of experience out of which 9000 hours are served in command. A lady with determination to achieve what she wanted despite all obstacles, she had the courage to carve her own way at a time when very few women had the courage to do so. She joined Air India as an Airhostess in 1986 and became a pilot in 1989. Someone who took loans and borrowed money to bet on herself! No wonder this sounds like a Bollywood movie. She has, indeed, broken stereotypes in more ways than one in her life.

Fascinated by all things philosophical, she is also an influencer and a speaker across various platforms. She is a sincere fitness enthusiast and avid traveller with an adventurous streak who loves to be on the move.

To add to this, she has even taken to writing and has recently published a book - “How to Be Human”. This book is inspired from her dog named Buddy, and teaches life lessons from a dog’s perspective.

Abstract: How to Be Human, is a charming and heart-warming book that, with its light touch, will make you look at life from a less cynical stand-point. In her talk, she speaks about the making of this book and excerpts from it on attachment, parenting, and karma, among other things. She shows how having a dog in the house can alter your perspective and change the way you experience life.
