 As per directives of MoE, IIT Bombay is organising Matribhasha Diwas (Mother Language Day) online on Sunday, February 21, 2021 to celebrate the linguistic diversity of our country. On this occasion, various programmes will be organized (online).


We request you all to attend the celebration using the above link to support the participants and make the event a grand success.
 

Matribhasha Diwas Cultural Program: Mrs. Uma Bharatiya will compere the event.

1. Individual Participant

  • Ms. Shriya Nair to perform Ganesh Vandana

2. Bengali Cultural Association

  • Introduction by Ms. Antara Ghosh
  • Songs by Ms. Sudeshna and Ms. Shatarupa
  • Dance performance by Ms. Semantee
  • Recitation by Ms. Tamoghna
  • Recitation acknowledgment by Ms. Antara

3. Utkal Cultural Association

  • Prof. T.K. Biswal will give a speech on Utkal Association
  • Students of IIT Bombay to sing and dance  

4. IIT Bombay Marathi Sanskritik Mandal

  • Mrs. Uma Bharatiya to recite a poem
  • Ms. Anushri and Ms. Rashmi Gandhi to perform dance
  • Ms. Manisha Mote and Ms. Ira Mote to perform dance

5. Malayalam Group

  • Mr. Sooraj Krishnan, PhD Student, Department of Civil Engineering will sing a song
  • Shanaraj V. K, Arthana Balakrishnan and Resmi K, M.Tech students from the Department of Civil Engineering to perform dance

6. Individual Participant

  • Mr. Alok Thipathi, Admin Section staff, to sing a Hindi song

7. Kannada Sangh, IIT Bombay

  • Mr. Nikhil Nagarajan, PhD Student, Department of Chemical Engineering along with other students of IIT Bombay will sing a Kannada song

8. Individual Participant

  • Ms. Ruchira Rachakonda to sing a Telugu song
