FOSS United is a non-profit foundation that aims at promoting and strengthening the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) ecosystem in India.

The FOSSEE project developed at IIT Bombay is funded through the National Mission on Education through ICT, Ministry of Education, Government of India. FOSSEE promotes the usage of Free/Libre Open Source Software for Education in academia and industry.
